Gordon Park Friends is a non-profit organization focused on engaging the Riverwest neighborhood and broader Milwaukee community in supporting the park through volunteering, preservation, improving park amenities and hosting events and programming to enhance enjoyment of Gordon Park.

Trees for Gordon Park Campaign
Gordon Park Friends, in partnership with Milwaukee County, is kicking off an exciting campaign to plant 20 trees over the next year, and we need your help!
It is very important to create canopies of shade trees that will provide cooling areas in our park. A request was made to Milwaukee County Parks to replace dying trees and add trees in hot, open green space areas.
Although the county supports our mission of providing shade trees for the comfort of park users, monetary resources are not available for this cause. Provided we raise the funds for new trees, they will plant them. Initially, our goal is to raise $10,000 to fund the acquisition, planting, monitoring and maintenance of twenty new shade trees. Please help us reach our goal!
